Hattie Emma Whiteside McCoy, age 89, of Sikeston, died Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Daybreak Nursing Center in Miner, MO.
Born May 17, 1936, to the late Cecil Whiteside and Belma Bradley Whiteside, she lived in Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois her entire life. She loved going to church as long as she could and loved to shop. She especially loved her family and cherished the time they spent together.
Surviving are her daughters, Terri Bechel, Jodi McCoy and Angela Hileman, all of Sikeston; her grandchildren, Audrey Shea Hileman, Patrisha Nicole Hileman, Matthew Wood and Trey Wood; great grandchildren, Levi, Dylan, Bailey, Jadyn, Mattisyn, Addyson, Prestyn, Nolan and Hattie Marie; her great great grandchildren, Kinsley, Alexander and Landon; special niece, Patricia Hice Campbell and special cousin, Jackie Whiteside.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Craig McCoy, and her siblings, Virginia, Ruth, Clarence, Charles, Oren, Milo, Meredith, John, Willard and Joseph.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at noon, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. Frank Worthington will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
