Hayden Allan Baker, age 17, passed away on October 21, 2025.
He was born April 4, 2008, to Westly Baker and Karla (Gibson) Baker in Council Bluffs, IA. Hayden was a senior at Lewis Central High School. His passion in school was welding and wrestling in his early years. Hayden was due this semester to finish his high school credits as well as his welding certificate through Iowa Western. While in school, he worked as Dairy Clerk/Associate at Fareway and various small jobs including his brand-new small welding business. Haydens' passion for welding was early on, but in the years to come this talent led to him being the kid that all the welding students idolized. As he was a huge staple in their new program. To show just how dedicated and determined Hayden truly was, he made honor roll all, but one semester in high school in his entire high school career.
Hayden enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He was a one-of-a-kind young man. Much like his testament of organ donation, he was a selfless, giving person. Considered to be the protector and "uber driver" of his friends and family, Hayden had made a huge impact on the community. Simply because he was always the kid to offer a hand to anyone for just about any type of project. Hayden was also a huge jokester, always loaded with something quippy to say. He had the ability to make the whole room laugh unlike any other.
Haydens' love for motorcycles started at a young age with his dad and grandpa. Riding quickly became his peace. Hayden, despite his free spirit, always made sure he was safe while riding; by taking safety classes, making sure everyone wore a helmet, and wearing the proper gear. He was elated when he joined the biker community, and extremely proud of his motorcycle. He treated that motorcycle like it was his baby.
Hayden's memory will forever be cherished by his friends at Lewis Central High School, his family, and the motorcycle community.
Hayden was preceded in death by grandfathers, Dennis Gibson "Motorcycle Grandpa" & Denny Geer, great grandparents Allan (Joann) Ackerman, Harold (Ramona) Gibson.
Hayden is survived by his father, Westly Baker (Karen); mother, Karla Baker; Bonus Mother Shelby Archer; siblings, Haylee Baker, Nevaeh Wright, Colton Ellrott, Gage Cavallaro, and Brooklyn Vick; grandparents, Latisha Baker, Kelly Baker, Gaylene Gibson & Jim Baucom, and Tammy & Dan Cooper; great grandparents, Ann & Jerry Morris, Joe Cavallaro Jr. ; aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of other family and friends.
