Hayden Sloan Obituary

Hayden was born October 17, 1966 in Carrollton, Ga. He moved to Myrtle Beach, SC a year later. Hayden graduated from Socastee High School and attended Horry Georgetown Tech until he was severely injured in an accident. The family thanks the staff at the medical facilities where he lived and received excellent, loving care. Hayden was always cheerful, praised the Lord, enjoyed visitors, music, bingo, card games and TV.
He was predeceased by his step-father, Willard L. James, grandparents, Fred and Gertrude Cook of GA and Bill and Betty Harrelson of SC, uncle Edward G. James, and aunt Eloise O. James.
Survivors include his mother Anne C. James, his father Hayden C. Sloan, Sr. (Brenda), his sister Christina J. Wolfe (Matt), his uncle Fred E. Cook, III (Charlotte), aunt Shannon J.Burchette (Robert), nephew Connor H. Wolfe, cousins Stephani James (Chad), Ireland Rose, Brian G. Cook (Hillary), and Calvin Cook.

I just heard the passing of Hayden!
My condolences and prayers to Anne and her family!
I was one of his nurses for many years.
He loved the Lord and his Bible.
Boy oh boy he loved his Mountain Dews.
You will be missed. You are with our Lord now!

I had the honor of helping to take care of Hayden at Kingston Nursing Center in Conway SC. He was also the brother of my sister-in-law Christy Wolfe.
Hayden had a remarkable sense of humor that was really loved by many. He was a man of Christ and liked to talk about the Bible. Everyone who knew him knows how much he enjoyed a Mountain Dew!
