Hazel Hogue, a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on September 3, 1944, in Lincolnton, North Carolina, she dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm and loving home.

As a good stay-at-home mom and grandmother, Hazel was known for her kind heart and unwavering devotion to her family. She had a special talent for cooking, often preparing delicious meals that brought everyone together, and she had a knack for spoiling her grandchildren, showering them with love and affection. Hazel's personality shone through in every interaction; everyone who met her described her as the sweetest person, always making it a point to express her love to those around her.

Hazel's vibrant spirit extended beyond her family. She cherished her hobbies, enjoying afternoons filled with bingo, shopping, and attending church services where she connected with her community. Each moment was an opportunity for her to spread joy and warmth to those she loved.

She leaves behind her cherished family, including her son, Wesley Hogue (Carla Davis); her sister, Mary Withers; her niece, Sharon Withers, great neice Aleena and great nephew Sinclair; and her adoring grandchildren, Adrian Hogue, Sawyer Hogue, Anthony Metcalf, Alicia Metcalf, Christopher Metcalf, Gracie Metcalf, Addisyn Magby, and Landon Metcalf.

Hazel was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Hogue, and her loving parents, Joe and Rachel Mooney. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire those she touched throughout her life.

A visitation to celebrate Hazel's life will be held on December 8, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Smith Family Funeral Home in Little Rock, Arkansas. She will be laid to rest at Redfield Cemetery in Redfield, Arkansas, where she will find peace alongside her beloved family.

Hazel Hogue's life was a testament to the power of love, laughter, and cherished family moments. She will be profoundly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
