Hazel Florence Kelsoe, 86, of Danville, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Friday, June 13, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home with Wayne Bumgart officiating. Burial will be at Lindsey Cemetery.
Born on January 10, 1939 in Lawrence County to the late Charley and Ethel Bumgart Nelson, Hazel was a member of Lebanon Church of God. She loved to sew and quilt, gardening and flowers. Hazel loved to take walks and look at wildflowers. She was devoted to her family and especially her dog, Bow Legs.
Survivors include her son, Dewayne (Jo-Ann) Kelsoe; grandchildren, Jamie Kelsoe, Anthony (Ashley) Kelsoe, Jessica (Bobby) Aldridge, Dustin (Morgan) Kelsoe; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Penny Hill; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Kelsoe; parents; son, Devon Kelsoe; and great-granddaughter, Madison Kelsoe.
Pallbearers will be Cowan Cruz, Camren Cruz, Bobby Aldridge, Anthony Kelsoe, Dustin Kelsoe, and Braden Kelsoe.
The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of Hospice of the Valley.
