Mrs. Hazel C. Lanham, age 80, of New Tazewell, passed away Sunday October 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born December 24, 1944, in Jamestown, Tn to Artist and Marie Sharp who precede her in death.
Hazel was a member of the Springdale Baptist Church where she nurtured her spiritual life and fellowship. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is preceded in death by her parents Artist and Marie Sharp, brothers Guy Sharp, Ester Sharp and Michael Sharp.
Hazel is survived by her children Kim Sharp, Quinn Lanham and wife Deirdra, grandchildren Amy Braden, Dustin Russell, Skyler Kearney, and Olivia Lanham. Great grandchildren Justin Braden, Kaylee Braden, Tylor Sharp and Cole Russell. She is also survived by her brother Gene Sharp. A host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Wednesday October 29, 2025, from 11:00am till 12:00 noon in the Claiborne ~ Overholt Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services to follow at 12:00 noon with Rev. John Hatfield officiating. Music will be provided by Barbara Hatfield. Burial will follow the funeral service in the Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Justin Braden, Skyler Kearney, Tylor Sharp, George Moloney, Ronald Lanham and Darryl Hill.
