Hazel Oralene Walker, 86, of Fort White, Florida, passed away on Saturday afternoon, August 30, 2025 at the HCA Florida – Lake City Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Plainview, Texas on January 12, 1939 to the late Floyd Durham and Vivian Formway Durham. She has made Lake City her home most of her life and was of the Baptist Faith. She worked for a little over 10 years as a Shoe Department Manager for Wal-Mart and in her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, oil paintings and crafts. She is preceded in death one brother and three sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter, Johnnie E. Walker, Jr. of Ft. White and Ramona Walker of Ft. White; and her two sisters, Peggy Land and Della Martin both of California. Four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren with one on the way also survive.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Walker will be conducted on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gateway-Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel.
