Obituary published on Legacy.com by Peck Funeral Home - Hartselle on Jan. 31, 2026.
A funeral service for Heather Eden Fox will be held Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 3:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Chris Pressnell of Flint Church of Christ officiating. There will be a visitation beginning at 1:00PM before the funeral. Heather will be buried at Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Heather was born August 7, 1996 to Ken and Cindy Holladay at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was homeschooled through elementary and secondary school and attended co-op classes with Masters Hand Christian School while in high school. She received her high school diploma through North Alabama Christian School in Huntsville in 2013. Heather was a lifelong learner and had earned her Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Wallace State. She then studied at Jacksonville State University for a few years before finishing up her Bachelors degree at Troy in the field of Psychology. She later went on to earn a Masters degree from Troy in the same field and was currently working on a second Masters.
Growing up, Heather counted down her days every year until it was time to go to Maywood Christian Camp in the summer. It became her happy place. Every Spring she attended the Lads to Leaders Convention in Nashville and was given many awards for her hard work and studies through that program. Even if she didn't win an award in her competitive categories, she could be seen cheering on the others she had competed against and being joyful for their win.
Heather was multitalented. She enjoyed taking art classes, playing softball, practicing Judo and Jiu Jitsu, taking piano lessons, writing poetry and playing video games. In recent years, she had taken up crocheting and loved to gift her creations to friends and family.
Heather had a kind heart and would always look for the downtrodden and how she could make things better for them. This led her to her career field and fueled her passion for helping others. She had worked at a home for autistic teens in both Jacksonville and Mobile and was most recently employed at Thrive in Huntsville where she worked with the community outreach program.
Heather loved a good book and had an extensive personal library. She spent most of her spare time reading or discussing her latest literary obsession.
