Emily Ann Fox, age 87, of Dandridge, Tennessee, peacefully passed away on February 5, 2026 surrounded by her family. Emily was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother. Family was important to her, and she was a steady presence in the lives of those she loved. She worked as the cafeteria manager at Dandridge Elementary School for many years and later served as a member of the Jefferson County School Board, contributing to the local school system and community. Emily was a member of Shady Grove Church, where she remained committed throughout her life. She was also a member of the Martha Dandridge OES. She will be remembered by her family, friends, church, and community.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Melvin Fox; parents, Lawrence and Mattie Batson; father and mother-in-law, Pearl and Gladys Fox; sister, Kern (Glenn) Henderson; brothers, L.C. (Ruby) Batson, Condon (Essie) Batson; brother-in-law, Buford Fox. Emily is survived by her daughter, Rev. Sherri (Johnny) Franklin, sons; Kevin (Vickie) Fox and Brian Fox; Grandchildren, Danielle (Matt) Settlemoir, Derek (Kayla) Franklin, Keisha (Charles) Pack, Kelli Wyrick, Cody Fox, Cole Fox; great grandchildren, MeKenzie Pack, Zander Settlemoir, Ezekiel Wyrick, Mazie Ann Franklin; brother, Tom (Betty) Batson; sisters in law, Lois Batson, and Nancy Fox, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend special thanks to Jefferson Park for their exceptional care.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Shady Grove Church with a funeral service to follow at 3:00pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Rev. Dr. Jason McIntosh officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Shady Grove Church, 1675 Harold Patterson Road, Dandridge, TN 37725.
