Jack Edward Payne, age 96, of Dandridge passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026. He is the son of the late Fayette and Mattie Payne. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy serving in the Korean war era. He was a long-time member and former deacon of French Broad Baptist Church. He was proceeded in death by his first wife, Alice Jean Fritz Payne, and second wife, Jane Loftus; son, Jack Edward Payne Jr.; and sister, Peggy Humphrey. Jack is survived by son, Cecil “Rusty” (Theilia) Payne; special son and daughter, Michael (Myra) Rogers; brother, David Payne; stepchildren, Bobby, Cindy, Susan, and Lisa (Deceased); grandchildren, Morgan Askew, Meici Payne, Destinee Elliott, and Chad McCann and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and lots of friends and extended family. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 9, 2026, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at Farrar Funeral Home in Dandridge. A funeral service will follow at 6:00pm with Rev. Hartsell McCurry officiating. Military Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February, 10, 2026, at French Broad Baptist Church cemetery at 11:00am.
