Heather Marie Smith

Heather Marie Smith, 37, of Streetsboro, Ohio, passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. 

A daughter of George and Mary Granata Smith, she was born on October 4, 1988 in Akron, Ohio. 

Heather was a member of the Middle Pocket Pool League. She was a big kid at heart who found joy in crafting and creativity, especially in cake decorating. Her family and friends were her world, and she could turn a simple “hello” into a lifelong friendship. She will be fondly remembered for leaving behind sunshine, rainbows, and glitter wherever she went. 

Those left to cherish Heather’s memory include her father, George; two brothers, Christian Braun and Kevin Weir; sister, Cheyenne Solomon; fiancé, Nick Lockard; sister, Misty Wagner; aunt, Angela Granata (Auntie), and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with her three dogs, Sammy, Angel, and Charlie. Her mother, Mary, grandmother, Pauline Granata, and childhood best friend, Shane Cook, preceded her in death. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Adams Mason Funeral Home 791 E. Market St. Akron, Ohio 44305. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 p.m. with Rev. Susan Deitrick officiating and cremation to follow.
