Heather was born on September 23, 1986 in Peoria, IL to Robert A. Stanton and Laura A. (Downs) Hagemeier.
Surviving are her parents; Robert Stanton of Pekin, IL and Laura Hagemeier of Peoria, IL; her son, Eli Gonzalez of Iowa. Her son, Eli, was her pride and joy and she was very proud of him. Also surviving are her brother, Nicholas (Megan) Stanton of East Peoria, IL; her nieces, Bailey, Paige and Macie Stanton; and her grandmother, Wilma Nevell. She is also survived by her boyfriend, Jake Mulally. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Donald (Wilma) Downs and Robert (Mary) Stanton.
Heather graduated from Illinois Valley Central High School and had been working at Mt. Hawley County Club as a landscaper. She attended Crossroads Baptist Church and she enjoyed working outside, doing landscaping and working with flowers. Heather will be greatly missed by all her knew her.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe.

So sad to hear of Heather's death. We just had a great talk 4 days prior. We shared our love of nature and our pictures of flowers and beautiful views at Mt. Hawley CC.for comfort for her families, & friends. She will be missed. Love ya Heather.

I was so saddened to hear about Heather´s passing. She watched my son during the after-school program at Mossville Grade School and was always such a kind and caring presence. Every time I´d see her, she´d remember me and greet me with that same cheerful smile. We actually ran into each other just a couple of weeks ago, and she was her happy self....chatting about her love of flowers and landscaping. It made me so glad to hear how much she was enjoying her job at the country club. She truly had such a bright, genuine spirit, and she will be missed by so many.

I remember when she was such a young little lady and I will have done by her. I'm very pleasant, very active. Ran with my daughters and my boyshe will be greatly missed. That's for sure. I'm so sorry. You're worried that you're going through this? May she Rest in peace

Kind & outgoing gal Heather was. I recall going in & having some huge plates of her pot roast & ham & carrots--and she pulled along my bike to protect & escort me to another big feast & bonfire in back of Rome. She would always invite me to church events & make sure that I spoke for myself. Nice folks: all of Heather's family & friends: condolences. I will plant some trees & gardens & continue to tend the river.
