Mr. Hector G. Gonzales, born on August 8, 1955, peacefully entered into God's presence on May 9, 2025, in Sacramento, California, at the age of 69, when the Lord called him home.

Born and raised in the Philippines to Fortunata and Julian Gonzales, Hector grew up surrounded by family and community. In his early adulthood, he made the journey to the United States, settling in San Francisco, where he spent most of his life. It was in San Francisco that he met the love of his life, Aida Arcaina. Together, they built a loving home and celebrated nearly four decades of marriage this year. They welcomed their only child, Kimberly, and created a family filled with love, laughter, and strong values.

During his many years working as a custodian, Hector met many people who became close lifelong friends. His easygoing, relaxed, and chill nature made him a calming presence to those around him. He found joy in fishing, visiting the casino, watching sports, and enjoying documentaries-cherishing the small moments and the company of loved ones. He especially treasured family times filled with good food, lively gatherings, and playing mahjong. His calm demeanor and warm heart left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He leaves behind many extended family members and friends whose lives were enriched by his kind heart and steady presence.

Though Hector faced health challenges throughout his life, he approached them with remarkable strength and resilience. He accepted these struggles with quiet determination, never allowing them to define him. His loss was both expected and unexpected-something the family anticipated but still experienced with great sadness when it happened. Though he didn't want this to happen, he came to accept that it was part of a bigger plan. It happened for a reason, and Hector faced it with peace, knowing he was surrounded by love. Throughout his journey, he was supported by his loving daughter, Kimberly, whose care and devotion were a constant source of strength for him. Hector continued to live life fully, surrounded by love, no matter the circumstances. He passed away when the Lord called him home, with grace and peace.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Aida; his daughter Kimberly and her partner Kevin; his brothers Ernie, Rey, Thomas, and Rex; his sisters Lani and Jane; and many extended family members and friends. Hector is now reunited with his mother, Fortunata, and his brother Pong, who preceded him in death. Together, they rest in peace.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their love, support, and kind words during this time. Hector's gentle spirit, quiet strength, and unwavering love for his family will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
