Visitation: 10 to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Guerrero-Dean Funeral Service where a Prayer Service will be conducted at 12.
Hector Gonzalez Sr. was born on August 26, 1938 in Elcinal, Texas, the son of the late Alvaro Gonzalez and the late Gabriella Martinez Gonzalez. He would work in the oil industry for many years, primarily for Schlumberger Technology Corporation. He was never afraid of hard work. He enjoyed being a father and grandfather, filling his days by watching daily Soap Operas.
Survivors: children: Frances Sanchez, Hector "Sonny" Gonzalez Jr., Shell Ayala; grandchildren, Mark Ayala Jr., Hector Ayala III, Melinda Valdez, Jennifer Brown, Brandy Brown, Tone Pena Jr, Melissa Moreno, Israel Valdez III and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Milu "Mary Lou" Gonzalez in November 2021 and a daughter, Melba Sanchez.
