Sandra Kay Parks Anderson,78, of Grand Prairie, Texas, went home to be with the Lord, August 24, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, with her loving husband by her side. She was born December 1, 1946, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Richard Preston Parks and Estella May Smith Parks, and grew up with a deep faith that guided her throughout her life. On December 5, 1964, Sandra married the love of her life, Bennie Anderson. Their marriage of over 60 years was a true testament to devotion, love, and partnership. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and strong family ties. Sandra was the proud mother of three children: Rodney Anderson, Eric Anderson, and Stacey Dawn Anderson who passed away as an infant. This experience was transformative for the family, and she shared this tragedy with others throughout the years as a source of comfort during their own stressful times. She was also blessed with five grandchildren-Aaron, Andrew, Addison, Jack, and Savannah-each of whom brought immense joy to her heart. Her happiest moments were spent surrounded by family, especially her grandchildren, who she adored deeply. A longtime member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Duncanville, Sandra's life was marked by service to others, strong faith, and unwavering love for her church family where she was the organist for many years. Her gentle spirit, selflessness, and compassion touched countless lives, both inside and outside the church. Sandra will be remembered for her kindness, her faith, and her steadfast love for her family. Though she will be missed dearly, her influence and love will continue to live on in those who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Stella Parks; daughter, Stacey Dawn Anderson; sister, Carolyn Ruthe Parks Gentry; brothers, Henry Eugene "Gene" Parks and Bobby Parks. Sandra is survived by her devoted husband of almost 61 years, Bennie; sons, Rodney Anderson and wife Heather; Eric Anderson and wife Sandra; grandchildren, Aaron Anderson, Andrew Anderson and wife Elena, Addison Anderson, Jack Anderson and wife Katalina, Savannah Heath and husband Kendall; brother-in-law, George Arthur Gentry, and numerous cousins, uncles and aunts, along with many extended family members and friends who cherish her memory. A visitation will be held Friday August 29, 2025, at 10am, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 1415 West Wheatland Rd. Duncanville, Texas 75116. Funeral Services will be held August 29, 2025, at 11am at the church with burial to follow at Southland Memorial Cemetery in Grand Prairie. Arrangements entrusted to Guerrero-Dean Funeral Home under the direction of Aaron King, Funeral Director. In Lieu of flowers, the family ask that a memorial be made to The Gideons International in Sandra's name. https://gideons.org/donate
