Hector Earl Wasdin was born October 23, 1953, and passed away June 4, 2025, at the age of 71.
Hector was a Master Mason in Oklahoma and a 32nd degree Lodge Mason. A devout Baptist, Hector was deeply rooted in his faith and shared his love for the outdoors through his passion for hunting and fishing. He dedicated a significant part of his life to working on the pipeline for the Pipefitters Local 344 Union. Above all, Hector cherished his family and friends, always ready with a warm smile. His love was unwavering for his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Leatha Perry; daughter, Christa; stepsons, Ronnie and Randy; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; along with 2 great-great grandchildren on the way.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Betty Wasdin; along with his brother and sister.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. with a visitation to follow until 12:00 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
