Hedy Ipsarides Obituary
Hedy married Theodore (Ted) Ipsarides on November 6th, 1955, in Cyprus. The two were married until the passing of Theodore in 2018. Hedy was the loving mother of Anthony (Susan) and Harry (Hollie). Loving Grandmother to Jason (Bobbie Jo) and Sean. Loving Great Grandmother to Rylee Jo, Jeris and Daisee Jo.
Born in Kassel Germany on March 18th, 1930, to Mehael and Franziska Hagiyannis, their family moved to Cyprus in 1932 to re-unite with her father's parents. While in Cyprus, she attended boarding school. Upon graduation at the age of 18, she worked as an interpreter for the Doctors at the hospital for an American Copper Mine Corporation where she met our father who was working for the same corporation as an electrician. Hedy spoke fluent French, German, Italian, Greek and English.
Hedy attended 3 ½ years at the nursing college in England and upon her return to Cyprus, married our father, Theodore. In 1959 they came to the United States and became US citizens.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24th, 2026, at the RESURRECTION CEMETERY - 9400 W Donges Bay Road, Mequon, Wi. from Noon until the time of Service at 1:00 p.m. Anyone wishing to honor Hedy's memory may make a contribution in her name to the Alzheimer's Association in lieu of flowers.
