Heidi Maltzahn Hobrath, 74, passed away January 9th, 2026.
Born on May 4, 1951, in Nordhorn, Germany, to Heinrich and Lydia Maltzahn, Heidi immigrated to the United States as a young girl. She later married the love of her life, Frank Hobrath, with whom she shared a devoted marriage.
Known for her warm hospitality, amazing meals, and contagious joy, Heidi loved her Savior deeply and believed in the power of prayer, instilling those values in her family. We find comfort knowing she is now rejoicing in heaven, reunited with her beloved Frank.
Heidi is survived by her daughters, Tina (Paul Vukovic), Lisa (Nick Conley), and Suzette (Scott Marunowski); a proud Oma to Greta, Anika, Elena, Olivia, Ethan, Eva, Ezra, and Ella; and soon to be a great-Oma. She was also a loving sister to Irene (Wilfried Hildebrandt) and Arthur (Barbara) Maltzahn. She is preceded in death by husband, Frank Hobrath; parents, Heinrich and Lydia Maltzahn; and sister, Ruth Lechner.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
