Helen Ruth Amos Phillips 78, of Andrews went to be with her Lord and Savior and be reunited with her beloved husband, Lane, Monday October 13, 2025 while at her granddaughter's home in Flat Rock, North Carolina. In addition to being a wonderful wife and mother, she worked at Clifton Precision and as a substitute teacher for fifteen years. Helen then returned to school where she earned a nursing degree. She was a faithful member of Red Marble Baptist Church where she and Lane planned and were involved in Vacation Bible School for many years. She also worked as a Girl Scout Leader. Helen was an avid gardener who could grow anything and loved growing flowers. She also loved sports, reading and gospel music, especially the McKamey's.
She was the daughter of the late Clyde Sidney Sr. and Mary Catherine Wilson Amos and wife of the late Lane Phillips who passed away February 5, 2022. She was also preceded in death by a brother, David Amos.
Surviving are her daughter Karen Phillips Cox and husband, Clifford of Saluda, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Katie Raines and husband, Justin of Flat Rock, North Carolina and Kendall Cox of Saluda, North Carolina; one sister Darlene Scroggs and husband, Giles of Marble, North Carolina; one brother Clyde Amos Jr. and wife, Sharon of Hendersonville, North Carolina; and her loving loyal dog, Pepper, also known as "Pepper Depper"; also survived by many nieces, nephews, sweet friends, neighbors, and church family.
