Ruby Jean McClure Lee

Ruby Jean McClure Lee 85, of Andrews passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at her residence. She was a native of Cherokee County and a graduate of Andrews High School. She began her career working locally for Berkshire. She later moved to High Point and began working for Alma Desk Company and earned a supervisor position. She finally worked at a nursing home as a CNA until retiring to care for her mother. She then returned to Andrews, and was of the Baptist faith. Ruby enjoyed reading and traveling. Her greatest joy came from her family. Ruby had a contagious smile and a great sense of humor. Ruby was a friend to all who met her and would go out of her way to help anyone.
She was the daughter of the late Earnest and Myrtle Mathis McClure and wife of the late Paul Tommy Lee who died July 5, 2025; one son, Tommy Lee; one sister, Ruthie Mae Tomlin; four brothers, Ray, Rayverett "Bud", Roy, and Richard McClure.
Surviving are one son, Ricky Lee, of Hayward, California; one sister, Roberta Owenby and husband, Mitchell of High Point, North Carolina; she is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the Valleytown Cemetery Chapel with Mitchell Owenby officiating. Interment will be in Valleytown Cemetery.
