Helen Jean Bacon

Helen Jean Elkins Bacon of San Angelo, passed away on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025 at the age of 88. Helen (NeeNee) was born on February 14th, 1937 in San Antonio, Texas to Everett and Ethel Grindstaff Elkins. She married General William (Bill) Bacon on June 16,1993 at his ranch in Welfare, Texas. Helen is survived by her daughter Kari Bowers and husband Ronnie. NeeNee is survived by her two grandchildren who were the light of her life. Clint Bowers and wife Rachel of Dallas, Texas and Lindsey Williams and husband Colt of Christoval, Texas. NeeNee is also survived by her 4 great-grandchildren whom she absolutely adored. Rylee and Alli Williams of Christoval; and Grant and Caiden Bowers of Dallas. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews. Helen is preceded in death by her husband Bill Bacon. Parents Everett & Ethel Elkins, sisters Virginia (Sissy) Booth, Grace Kasten and husband Otto Kasten of Sisterdale, Texas, Allyne and Ben Fort of Louisiana. Two brothers, William Elkins and Everett (Butch) Elkins and wife Bonnie of Falls City, Texas. Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 15, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Schaetter's Funeral Home in Comfort, Texas. The family will greet family and friends at the Funeral Home from 12:30 – 1:00 pm.
