Helen Beardsley Obituary
Helen Beardsley, of Farmington, Missouri entered eternal rest on July 25, 2025, in DeLand, Florida, at the age of 84. Born on February 9, 1941, in Dundee, Scotland, she was the beloved daughter of the late Mark and Margaret (McReddie) Bolton.
Helen is lovingly remembered by her children, Iain (Bridget) Beardsley of St. Louis, MO, and Lesley (Chad) Hurta of DeLand, FL; her cherished grandchildren, Joseph Beardsley, Molly Beardsley, Cameron (Caitie) Hurta, and Maggie Hurta; and numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 50 years, Harold "Joe" Beardsley.
Helen was a longtime member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Farmington, where her faith and fellowship meant so much to her. A dedicated educator, she spent many joyful years teaching at Farmington Christian Academy. Known for her quick wit and unmistakable Scottish brogue, Helen touched many lives and leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church in Farmington, with Reverend Roger Hogan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Free Will Baptist Church, 305 West Columbia Street, Farmington, MO 63640 in Helen's honor.
