My first clearest memory of Helen was about 1955. I was 3, Helen would have been 10. She was at our house, probably to visit our Nana, who lived with us. It was very hot and we were in bathing suits. Out on the lawn, my Mom or Dad had filled two galvanized tubs with water. Helen and I were dunking in them and sitting in them to cool off. I was jealous because my mom wouldn't let me use the big tub; that was for Helen because she was older and bigger than I. It will be very strange to think she is not with us any more. Although we lived far apart (Maine-West Virginia) for many many years, I thought of her (and brother Dave) often.
