Helen was born on November 6, 1937 in Wisconsin Rapids to Harold and Victoria Brost. She graduated from Alexander High School. Helen worked as a nanny for many area families and nurtured some of them from birth to teens.
In her younger years, Helen loved attending Easter Seals Camp Wabeek in the Wisconsin Dells and made many lasting friendships. She had the time of her life there! In later years she enjoyed putting puzzles together, gardening, travelling and the visits, support, and help from close friends and family. Helen was blessed to have Pam Parker and Sally Werderits, and her West 5th Street neighbors. She was always thankful for their presence in her life. Helen was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and attended grade school there.
Helen is survived by her brothers, Norbert and Jay (Barb) Brost; sister-in-law, Doreen Brost; and numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Victoria; and siblings, Gene, Robert, Louis, and Rita.
The family would like to thank the staff at Our House and the "angels" that work for St. Croix Hospice for their loving and compassionate care for our dear Helen.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Helen's name to St. Croix Hospice, 2048 E Upham St., Marshfield, WI 54449
