Helen L. “Honey” Brown, 92, of Marysville, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024 at Monarch Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Honey loved playing cards and bingo, had a deep love for animals and children, but most of all she cherished her time spent with her family. She worked at various jobs throughout her life, the longest being at Buckeye Mart for over 20 years.
Born February 9, 1932 in Marysville, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Sheets) Hurd, Sr. On December 23, 1948 in Kentucky, she married her husband of 15 years, Paul E. Brown, and he preceded her in death in 1963. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Daniels; a son, Joseph Brown; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son, Paul A. (Cindy) Brown of Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Kelly (Russell Aaronson) Brown, Karla (Justin) Sanders, Chloe Smith, Heather (Robert) Jepsen, Laura Brown, Misty (Scooter Losh) Yontz and Jason Brown; great grandchildren, Sinopa, Dakota, Phenyx and Cheyenne Jepsen and Leah Hutchison, Bella, Ray, Sarah, William, Danielle, Christopher and Nicholas; great-great grandchildren, Page, Sylvia, Aries, Bliss, Kobain, Adalynn and Braelynn; a brother, Ralph (Lucille) Hurd, Jr. of North Carolina; a special cousin, Shirley Allen; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
Friends may call from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Wilson Funeral Home 621 W. Fifth St. Marysville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Kirkersville Cemetery in Kirkersville. Memorial contributions can be made to VITAS Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
