Helen Elizabeth Cornett, passed away 18, November, 2024 in Carmel Indiana, at the age of 87, surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Helen was born on 24, November 1936, to Dovie Sue (Rymar) Blalock and Roy Edward Blalock in Chattanooga Tennessee.
The simple pleasures in life brought great joy to Helen, she loved a quiet evening at home with her friends and family. Her pleasant personality was contagious to everyone she met. Helen spent most of her career working in computer operations in the banking industry in Indianapolis until she retired. She was a skilled piano player and filled her home with a variety of music and loved to sing. She was passionate about relaxing anywhere water was, lakes, pools, Oceans, boating or just sunbathing and watching the sunset.
She is survived by her step children, Susie Melton (Gary), Chuck Cornett, Jan Cornett, Carol Mays (John) Nieces, Sandra Keller (Michael), Pamela Ruth (Alvin), Deborah Adams (Richard Reed), and Cynthia Adams Matthews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Miranda Keller (Mitchell), Alexandra Keller, Brandi Heffley (Nick), AR Ruth (Elyse), Ryan Lauth (Miranda), Jennifer Dobbs (Jason), Jessica Monge (Eddie), Jacqueline Vanscooter (Anthony), Jana Risinger (Chris), Dana Lane (Donnie).
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Gene Cornett, sisters Mary Sue Hendrickson, Barbara Adams, brothers, Willard Blalock, Bob Blalock, Wayne Blalock, Roy Blalock Jr., Charles Blalock her niece Teresa Adams-Lauth, and her parents.
A service will be held on Friday 29, November 2024 at 1:00 PM with visitation from 11:AM-1PM at Indiana Funeral Care, 8151 Allisonville Road Indianapolis IN. 46250. After the Service we will have an escort to Crown Hill Cemetery, her Final resting place.
