Helen Crapps

LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Helen Marie Seymoure Crapps, age 77, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2024. She was born May 6, 1947, in Rock Hill, SC, daughter of the late Haley Seymoure and Ruby Phifer Seymoure and was the loving wife of Wayne Tillman Crapps. Mrs. Crapps loved being a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church where she was a part of the women's group and loved Jesus deeply. She enjoyed shopping, going to the mountains and spending time at her lake home fishing, as long as the fish were biting. Family was most important to her, and she enjoyed spending time with them and loved each one dearly.
Mrs. Crapps is survived by her husband of 56 years, Wayne Crapps; two sons, Gary Crapps (Jamie) and Keith Crapps (Amber); three grandchildren, Lauren Joplin (Christian), Haley Newton (Colby), and Fisher Crapps; sister-in-law, Phyllis Grimm; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, James "Butch" Seymoure.
The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Crapps will be 1:00 pm Monday, December 23, 2024, at Hyde Park Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Sam Kennington. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Rock Hill, SC.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the church Memorial Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hyde Park Baptist Church, Memorial Fund, 1898 Flat Creek Rd., Lancaster, SC 29720.
