Helen Marie Daniel was born to the late Roosevelt Green, Sr., and Elnora Chatman Green on January 9, 1936, in Claiborne Parish, Homer, LA.
On January 6, 1951, Helen was united in holy matrimony to Louis T. Daniel. To this union, eight children were born.
She professed her belief in Jesus Christ at an early age and became a member of Starlight Baptist Church. Helen was a choir member, served on the Usher Board, was a member of the Deaconess Board, and was head of the kitchen committee, along with the late Eddie B. Newton. Helen and Mom "B" shared a lasting sisterly friendship. Later, she joined New Bethel Baptist Church and remained a member until she transitioned to her eternal home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis T. Daniel; two sons, Robert Daniel and Benjamin Daniel; two grandchildren, Kevin Daniel and Stephen Smith; one great-grandson, Baby Braden Daniel; one sister, Myrtle Daniel; and four brothers: Richard Green (her twin), Dencil Green, Nathaniel Green, and Roosevelt Green, Jr.
Helen's legacy continues through her children: one son, Andrew L. Daniel (Floria), Floria has been such a faithful daughter-in-law, El Dorado, AR, five daughters: Carolyn Daniel (Alexander, AR), Cheryl Brady (Nacogdoches, TX), Cynthia Woods (Kenny), Shakeitha Steele (Terry) of Little Rock, AR, and Toria Williams (Marlin) of Quantico, VA. She also leaves to cherish her memories three half-siblings, brother Bobby Merchant, and sisters Doris Lipscomb and Delinder Singleton of Dallas, TX. Nineteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives.
