Helen Minnie Evenson, age 92, of Rushford passed away on December 18, 2024. She was born January 14, 1932, to Alfonse and Emma Feine on the family farm in Hart, MN. On November 26, 1949, Helen married the love of her life Robert “Evie” Evenson, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hart, MN. Three children came from this union. Helen worked for Rush Products for 30 years, being the first woman supervisor. She enjoyed traveling, camping, crocheting, knitting, and most of all spending time with friends and family. Helen was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, she served on many different committees, and enjoyed her time as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent.
Helen is survived by her 3 children: Terrie (Richard) DeBoer, Gale (Mary) Evenson, and Tim Evenson; grandsons: Chad (Heidi) DeBoer, Aaron (Kelly) DeBoer; great-grandchildren Reghan DeBoer, Caden DeBoer, Kendall Drury-DeBoer, Courtland Drury-DeBoer, Kane Drury-DeBoer, Chloe Drury-DeBoer; step-grandchildren: Steven Champagne, Danielle Champagne; sister-in-law, Mavis Littlejohn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert “Evie”, sister, LaVelle Helland, brother, Edgar “Pete” Feine, sister, Carol Ann Wilson, daughter-in-law, Anne Evenson, and sister-in-law, Karen Laganiere.
A funeral service will be held Monday December 30, 2024 at St. Jonh’s Lutheran Church in Hart, MN, at 11am. Visitation will start at 9:30am on Monday December 30, 2024 at the church. Helen will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Hart, MN, following the funeral.
