Helen Goff Fisher, age 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, August 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Brownsville Baptist Church with Pastor Ben Cowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Brownsville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Brownsville Baptist Church.
Helen worked in the banking industry for thirty-three years. She began her career at the First State Bank, in Brownsville, TN, where she retired after many promotions to the level of Vice President. Following her retirement, she went on to work an additional fifteen years in the County Court Clerk's Office in Brownsville. She was a long-time member, serving in many capacities, with the Credit Professional International.
Helen is survived by two sons: Jim Fisher of Brownsville, TN and Michael Fisher and his wife Cheri of Savannah, TN; two grandchildren, Regan Fisher and Tonya Fisher and one great grandchild, James Joseph Fisher. She was preceded in death by her parents: Carl Edward and Bessie Maude Tinsley Goff; one sister, Bettye Jo Goff; and one great-grandchild, Gabrielle Renee Fisher.
Pallbearers for the service will be Marion Nanney, Leann Moore, Dan Miller, John Gorman, Jr., Bill Yates and Bro. Bob Connerley. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jr. West and Richard Nelson.
The family requests memorials be made to the Kirkland Cancer Center, 720 West Forest Ave., Jackson, TN 38301. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home.
