Helen P. Flannery

WARREN- Helen P. Flannery, 86, passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family.

Born April 4, 1939, in Kinsman, Ohio. She was one of fourteen children of Stephen F. Panak and Mary P. (Kitko) Panak.

A lifelong movie buff, Helen held a special fondness for films from the 1940s, 1950s and early 1960s, often sharing her passion with family and friends. As an avid gardener, she surrounded her home with roses and flowers of all types as well as a yearly vegetable garden. In her younger years, travel was another joy of Helen's. Her favorite was traveling with her sisters to Europe to visit their parents' hometowns in Slovakia.

Above all, she was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 67 years, Kenneth R. Flannery; two sons, Matthew Flannery (Persefoni) and Kenneth J. Flannery; daughter in law, Nancy Flannery; grandchildren, Stephen Flannery, Daniel Flannery (Racheal), and Lisa Flannery (William); 11 great-grandchildren, Trey, Soraya, Hunter, Holden, Maddison, Logan, Lilith, Luke, Hope, Marcus, and Julius; brother, Frank; sisters, Rosalie, Patricia, Nancy, Irene, and many many nieces and nephews who affectionately knew her as Aunt Helen.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Mark A. Flannery.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at All Souls Cemetery, 3823 Hoagland Blackstub Rd, Cortland, OH 44410, starting at 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice in Helen's name. The family would also like to thank Patriot at Home Hospice and all of mom's doctors and nurses. They helped us have her at home in comfort and peace, surrounded by her family.
