She graduated from Our Lady Of Perpetual Help (OLPH) Catholic School in 1955. Helen married Alton "Red" Huitt on the 18th of August 1956 in Sterling. Before their return to Oklahoma, the couple cherished time visiting Hong Kong and Hawaii. Helen concluded her career by providing accounting and tax services for Jones Tax Office – Rural Lawton until her retirement in 2008.
A woman of deep faith, Helen was a lifelong member of Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Sterling, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a dedicated member of Our Lady's Altar Society.
