Janet Goodoff (and family)

December 2, 2022

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was a great lady. Our family first met her in 1974 when she became our landlady. She and our mother developed a friendship that lasted for many, many years after we moved. And after our mother passed, we kept up with Helen via cards and an annual phone call. She was a friend to our entire family.

One of my fondest memories of her was when I was 16 and had just gotten my driver's license, and we were living next door. Her car broke down on her way home from work and she called to ask if one of us could come pick her up. I was the only one home so I offered. I told her I was not allowed to drive the family car by myself yet but, because it was her, I would sneak out and come get her before mom and dad got home from work. NO WAY was she going to let me do that! She said she'd figure something else out because she didn't want me to get in trouble. She was right.

She was a very nice lady and will be missed. Take care, girls.
