Professionally, Helen worked as the Supervisor for the Grants Office at the Institute of Basic Research in Staten Island, NY for over 20 years. She loved her home and her family very much.
Helen is survived by her daughters, Lisa LaMantia and Laura Owens with her husband Steve. Her sister Cathy Aragona. Her grandchildren, Nicole Owens, Bryan Wilkinson and wife Lori, Chris Wilkinson, Casey Burlew and her husband Dean. Her great grandchildren Virginia Wilkinson and Sam Wilkinson.
Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, James R. LaMantia, with whom she was married to for 57 years. Her parents, Charles and Edna Bily and brother Charles Bily.
Helen was loved dearly and was greatly respected by everyone in her family; she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Helen, please visit our Tree Store.
