Helen Lebrick Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Plover Funeral Home on Mar. 28, 2026.
Helen Agnes (Horvath) Lebrick, 93, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, in Plover, WI. Helen was born June 8, 1932, in Delmont, SD, to Joseph and Agnes (Ebersdorfer) Horvath who preceded her in death. As a child Helen spoke German until she learned English at 5 years old. In 1942, her family moved to Amherst, Wisconsin.

Helen graduated from Amherst High School in 1950. Following high school she worked at Hardware Mutual. She spent the next 20 years staying home and raising her family. In 1973, she began working at Herrschners until her retirement in 1998.

On October 11, 1952, she married Laurel E. Lebrick at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Lanark, Wisconsin Together they raised their family and lived life to the fullest. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2000.

Helen was a member of St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover, where she was a member of the Rosary Society and served as a Eucharist Minister for years and was involved in various church social groups. She and Laurel later volunteered as Eucharist Ministers at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.

Helen's hobbies included bowling, golfing, sewing, quilting, knitting and crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed watching the birds at the feeder. Helen enjoyed playing card games, especially Pinochle with her family, as well as 31 and "pay me". She was also a huge Milwaukee Brewer Fan. This gave her a special connection with her grandsons, some of which are fans of opposing teams!

Most of all Helen loved her grandchildren! She made sure she got to as many activities as she could, even traveling out of town to attend events for her out-of-state grandchildren. Her family felt her love immensely.

Helen is survived by her children, Linda (Dan) Garrett of Bluffton, OH, Allan (Judy) Lebrick of Marshfield, Barbara Buckley of Maryville, TN, Randall (Marge) Lebrick of Kimberly, AL, and Lorilei (Jim) Stoltz of Custer, WI; sisters, Rose Doyle of Kentucky and Mary Schmidt of Minnesota; and a sister-in-law, Margaret Brooks of Plover. Helen is also survived by 15 grandchildren; Danielle Althaus, Brian Garrett, Eric Garrett, Todd Garrett, Sara Stauffer, Beth Lebrick, Jeremy Lebrick, Jason Lebrick, Lindsey Prickett, Morgan Buckley, Luke Lebrick, Ty Lebrick, Chelsea Podnar, Tara Stoltz and Clayton Stoltz; and 21 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Helen was also preceded in death by her son-in-law David S. Buckley, brother Paul Horvath, brothers-in-law Garland Lebrick, Jim Brooks and Jim Doyle and sister-in-law Bernetta Lebrick.

Helen's family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you for all the care, support and love given to her from The Lodge staff, Whispering Pines staff, Heartland Hospice staff and Inclusa staff.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at St. Bronislava Catholic Church - 3200 Plover Road, Plover.
