Helen Jean Sadler Link, a cherished matriarch and beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, in Lexington, KY, at the age of 94. Born on May 7, 1931, in Paris, KY, to the late Nelson Lake Sadler, Sr. and Lavina Short Sadler Reames, Helen's early years in Paris shaped a life full of love, devotion, and service.

A proud 1949 graduate of Paris High School, Helen dedicated many years to the community as a telephone operator and plant manager clerk with BellSouth. Her professional commitment was paralleled only by her devoted membership at the First Baptist Church of Paris, where her Christian faith flourished.

Helen's heart was harmonized by her love for singing, a joy that resonated throughout her life and touched all who heard her melodious voice. Her hands, always busy and bountiful, cultivated the most beautiful flower gardens and produced intricate sewing work, placing life into fabric just as she did within her family. Helen's life was a testament to loving kindness and unwavering faith, attributes that defined her as a person.

She is survived by a loving family that blossomed as vibrantly as her gardens: her four daughters, Janet Dudley Link Harris Vallone, Diana Link Fay, Carolyn Link (Wayne) Pelfrey, and Patricia Link (Steven) Todd; her adoring eight grandchildren, Thomas Link (Virginia) Harris, Clinton E. (Sarah) Harris, John (Stephany) Harry, Kristina Harry Skibo, Jacob Harry, Evan W. (Karie) Todd, Caroline Todd, and Erin Pelfrey; and her thirteen great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride, Ben Harris, Maddie Harris, James Harry, Raymond Harry, Brett Harry, Charles Dudley Skibo, Madison Rae Skibo, Elisabeth Harry, Eden Harry, Saylor Lupo, Deacon Everidge, Anna Todd and Elise Todd.

Helen's journey to rejoin her late husband, Dudley Brown Link, has come with a trove of treasured memories she left behind. She now also reunites with her parents, her brothers Nelson Lake Sadler and George William Sadler, her sisters Dorcas Poulos and Minnie Sadler Scott, and her grandson Robert Carlyle Harris, all of whom preceded her in death.

Helen Jean Sadler Link will forever be remembered as a pillar of her community, a loving matriarch, and a faithful servant of the Lord. Her legacy of kindness and devotion will continue to thrive in the hearts of those who loved her. Helen's melodious voice may have quieted, but her song of life will echo eternally in the memories of her family and friends.

Memorial services will be conducted 6:00 PM Friday September 5, 2025, at the First Baptist Church, 919 Pleasant St., Paris, KY by Rev. Kyle Sullivan. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM Friday September 5, 2025, until the hour of service at the church.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the First Baptist Church Building Fund.

The funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Lusk-McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main St., Paris, KY. The online guestbook is at www.Lusk-McFarland.comand a 24-hour funeral information line can be reached by calling 859-987-4387.

I am so sorry for your great loss. Your family lived across the street, on Chambers from the Gaines family. I have spoken to Helen but not recently. She will be missed.
Love and Prayers to your family.
