Helen M. Lynch

COHOES Helen M. Lynch, 88, of Wertime Ct. passed away peacefully at Eddy Village Green on Monday, May 5, 2025. She was born in and a lifelong resident of Cohoes and a graduate of Troy Catholic Central High School.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert B. Lynch and her children, June Prudhomme (Don) of Cohoes, Patricia Campbell (Gavin) of Rochester, Antonina "Toni" Mnich (Greg Darwak) of Cohoes and Jennifer Lynch (Don Casper) of Rochester. Her siblings include John "Spike" Walsh (Veronica "Ronnie") and Frances Salvati (late Vince) of Clifton Park, the late Mary "Patricia" Piwnica (late Bill) and late Josephine "Phinie" Gratton (late Roy). Helen was a loving and attentive aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and proud grandmother of Edward "Michael" Maier (Stephanie Wells), Jamie Prudhomme (Jamie Trudeau), Jennifer Sokolow (Josh Cooke) and Donnie Prudhomme (Youssef Saleh) and great grandmother of Zackery Maier, Savana and Piper Trudeau-Prudhomme.
Helen was a lifetime member and a past president of the Cohoes Polish American Association. She was an election volunteer, a gifted singer and was not shy about sharing her love of visiting the Saratoga Racino.
Helen was energetic, intelligent, compassionate and genuinely funny. She often reflected on her relationship with her own mother and was very proud that she could make her laugh during difficult times. Helen's greatest gift however was making people feel seen and good about themselves. If you had a chance to know this remarkable woman you surely experienced the warmth of her attention. Without any doubt the world was a better place with her in it.
Relatives and friends are invited and may visit at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home,105 Vliet Blvd., Cohoes on Saturday May 10, 2025 from 3-5 pm.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
