Helen Maloy, 82, of Grand Valley Lakes, passed from this life Thursday, October 12, 2023, in Rogers, Arkansas.
She was born Thursday, February 20, 1941, in Clinton, Oklahoma, daughter of the late James and Anna Daulke Nelson and moved to this area in May of 1977. She married Raymond Maloy in Clinton, Oklahoma on August 25, 1958, and together they worked and raised their four children. Helen worked various jobs throughout her time, including at Fawcett Lumber Company. Her main pride was taking care of her family and being around her children and grandchildren, whom she dearly loved. She enjoyed scrapbooking and traveling and attended Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond Maloy of Saulsbury; two sons, Mark Maloy of Starkville, MS and Tony Maloy (Barbara) of Selmer; a daughter, Tracy Shanklin (Tim) of Lakeland, TN; two sisters, Dorothy Elliott of Oklahoma City, OK and Laura Stone of Manteca, CA; two brothers, Jess Nelson of Stillwater, OK and Vern Nelson of Eureka Springs, AR; 7 grandchildren, Kristy Owens, Rachel Maloy, Thomas Maloy, Emily Whitaker, Morgan Harrison, Taylor Shanklin and Tori Shanklin; and 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tresa Tigner and three brothers, Tom, Paul and David Nelson.
