Helen A Parrette

Helen A. Parrette, 87, of Menominee passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023 at Rennes Health Center West. She was born in Marinette, Wisconsin to Willard and Lucy Roehl on August 11, 1936, and attended St. Anthony's and graduated from Marinette High School in 1954. Helen worked hard her whole life but always enjoyed the people she worked with. She was the proud owner of Helen's Edgewater for over 40 years. For those of us who worked for her, the motto was, "It's Helen's way or the highway." She was a strong woman who wanted things done right. Many of her fondest memories are the many regulars who came and visited both daily and sometimes just annually. She remembered you all. Helen married Richard Parrette on August 27, 1955 in Marinette and had three beautiful children, Jeffrey, James and Cathy. Helen enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandchildren and watching the arrival of birds every spring and the wildlife in her yard throughout the year.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy (Paul) Smiley; grandchildren: Nathan, Jessica, Nicholas, Brittany, Matthew and Haley; seven great grandchildren; daughters-in-Law, Beverly Parrette and Patty Parrette; two sisters, Donna (Don) Weber and Pat Fonder. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Jeffery and Jim; granddaughter, Kelsey; and great granddaughter, Bailey.
The Celebration of Life to be held at Thielen Funeral Home *****has moved to a NEW DATE. Friday, July 14th ***** visitation will be held from 4pm to 6pm. A Time of Shared Stories and Memories will be held at 5:30pm.
The family would like to thank the caring staff in the ICU at Aurora Bay Area Medical Center and the Rennes West staff for the kindness and compassion they shared with my mom and our family.
