Helen R. Walentowski

Helen Walentowski, 94 of Temperance, MI, died Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in Goerlich Memory Care Center of Sylvania. Born November 30, 1928 in Temperance, she was a daughter of Frank and Mayme (Cornprobst) Mills. She was married to John Walentowski on March 15, 1947. Helen was employed by Bedford Public Schools for many years. She was an active member of Northwest Baptist Church in Toledo where she sang in the choir, served as a Sunday School Teacher, and in the nursing home ministry.
She is survived by her loving children, Darlene (Randy) Graham, Dennis (Vicky) Walentowski, Gary (Kimberly) Walentowski, Priscilla (Mike) Finkenbiner, Cindy VanDyke; daughter-in-laws, Carmen Walentowski and Donna Kee and former daughter-in-laws, Shirley Walentowski and Barb Terry. Also leaving behind 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her loving husband John, her son Darrel, her adopted son Tom Kee and 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
Visitation will be from 3 - 8 pm Tuesday at Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:00 am at Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home where she will lie in state after 9:00 am Pastor Ellis, officiating. Interment will follow at Bedford Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 10514 Lewis Ave (at Samaria Rd.), Temperance, MI.
