Helen Juanita Wallace Seabolt,96, of Murphy affectionately known as "Nannybolt" was called home to her Lord and Savior Saturday, August 2, 2025 while surrounded by family. She was a native of Linette, AL but moved to Blairsville, GA as a young woman upon marrying J.C. Seabolt. She lived in Blairsville over 40 years until moving to Murphy. Nannybolt was a gifted quilter. Her greatest joy in life came from her family and she loved every moment spent with them. Nannybolt had a great love for her community and took in and cared for many who were in need. She was a faithful member of Bell Hill Baptist Church and found her strength in Christ.
She was the daughter of the late Wesley Homer and Emmie Dixon Wallace and wife of the late J.C. Seabolt. She was also preceded in death by two sons, George and Donnie Seabolt; two grandsons Brian Seabolt and Blake Shields; one granddaughter, Rachel Seabolt; and one great granddaughter Alyssa Seabolt. She was the last surviving of several siblings.
Surviving are her eight children; Danny Seabolt of Lula, GA, Cathy Teague and husband William of Cleveland, GA, Mercia Hughes of Murphy, NC, Kim Chordegian and husband Nick of Sautee, GA, Chris Seabolt and wife Kathy of LaGrange, GA, Jonathan Seabolt of Cleveland, GA, Joann Thompson of Hayesville, NC, and Tina Shields and husband Michael of Murphy, NC; sixteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, August 5, 2025 in the chapel of Ivie Funeral Home in Murphy with the
Reverend Calvin Murphy and Reverend Chris Seabolt officiating. Interment was in Bell Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Sneed, Shaun Harrison, Dustin Thompson, Tyler Shields, Steve Miles, and John Cumbie.
The family received friends from 12-12:45 pm Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the Ivie Funeral Home in Murphy.
