Helen J. Williams, a devoted educator and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming, at the age of 101. Born on June 30, 1924, in Baxter, Pennsylvania, she lived a life marked by service, dedication, and love.
Helen was a proud graduate of Clarion State Teachers College, earning her degree in 1944. She went on to shape young minds as a teacher at the Clarion-Limestone School, Strattanville Building, where she dedicated 24 years of her life until her retirement in 1982. Her commitment to education and the impact she had on her students will be remembered fondly by many.
Helen was a vibrant member of numerous organizations, including the Arcadia Women's Club, Arcadia Garden Club, United Methodist Women, Red Hat Society, PSAR, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 249 Strattanville, and the Strattanville United Methodist Church. Her involvement in these groups reflected her passionate spirit and her desire to contribute positively to her community.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Harry David Williams who died 6/25/03, siblings: brothers Keith, Ralph, and Gary Hetrick, and sisters Aldean McMillen, Phyllis Dillar, Alma Smith, and Prudence Young.
Surviving Helen are her loving children, son Daniel J. Williams and his wife Laurie of Dubois, WY, and daughter Carole Ann Williams of Port St. Lucie, FL. She also leaves behind three adored grandchildren, Johnathan D, Daniel L. Williams, and Leslie Craddock as well as four cherished great-grandchildren, Korianne and Victor Williams, and Jalen and Kennedy Tanner, a great-great grandson, Makus Lind.
Friends and family will be received on Friday December 5, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 at the Goble Funeral Home & Crematory, 330 Wood St.
Clarion, PA and on Saturday from 10:00 AM till time of services at 11:00 AM at the Strattanville Global Methodist Church where services will be held at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jeffrey D. Foor officiating.
Helen's legacy will continue to live on through her family and all those whose lives she touched throughout her century-long journey. Burial will take place in the Strattanville Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest among her beloved family members.
Helen J. Williams will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her students, and her community. Her life was a testament to the values of kindness, education, and service, and her memory will be forever treasured by those who knew her.
