Don and Lois Cramer Morgan raised their four children in Brookville, PA, while Don worked at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Don was also preceded in death by his stepson Jeff Thomas (Michelle Thomas) in August of this year.
After graduating with a BA from Northwest Nazarene College, Don went on to earn his Masters of Education from the University of Idaho, followed by a PhD from the University of Iowa. His career started as a teacher and athletic coach in Melba and New Plymouth, Idaho and Millersburg, Iowa. For two years he was the principal of Amana High School in Iowa and then accepted a consulting position at the University of Iowa. In 1968 he joined the faculty at Clarion University of Pennsylvania (CUP) as the Assistant Director of the Research Learning Center. Although Don retired in 1999, he never stopped working to improve the lives of others. He is remembered as a kind and generous man who was a positive influence on those around him. He opened his home to many, from friends and family, to travelers from all over the world. He remained dedicated to helping others throughout his life. He will be deeply missed for his warmth as well as his corny dad jokes.
