Helen Griggs Wilson, 101, of Logan, passed away on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Carlin House in Logan. She was born on April 24, 1924, in Perry County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ray L. and Mary (Kishler) Griggs. She was the widow of the late John W. Wilson.
Helen owned and operated her beauty salon since 1958 in Logan. She was a past member of the Venus Chapter #76 O.E.S. She was a former member of the Immanuel U.M. Church and current member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. Helen will be remembered for her sharp mind and wit and as a fabulous cook. She truly loved people, especially children, and the Lord.
Helen is survived by a large, loving family and her second loving family at Carlin House.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Mary; husband, John; and brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Geneva Griggs.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 6935 Township Road 234, Logan, with Pastor Steve Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery. Family and friends may visit from 3 to 4 pm Sunday at the church. Arrangements are with the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St, Logan.
