Helena Mays Ridgell

Helena Dornell Mays Ridgell was born November 10, 1978, to Bommie Ridgell and Kimberlie Rowland in Omaha, Nebraska. She departed this life June 27, 2025. She attended and joined Tyree Temple A.M.E. church in Dumas, AR. Helena graduated in 1997 from Drew Central High School in Monticello, Arkansas. Helena had many business ventures, and loved fashion, music, and traveling. Most importantly her boys.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Emmett Mays.
She leaves to cherish her memory sons, Noah, Nihlan, and Nathan Harris; fiancé, Tommy Deshazer, Jr.; mother, Kim (Ceasar) Rowland; father, Bommie Ridgell, I; siblings, Kennidi Ridgell of Marion, AR, Bommie Ridgell, II of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Landon Ridgell of Arlington, TX, Kayla Ridgell of Little Rock, AR, and Darrell Rowland of Dumas, AR; sister cousins, Tiana, Tasha, Tinee, Nene, and LaWan; aunt, Renee Conway, uncle Ed Conway, all of Chicago, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
There will be a wake Friday, July 11, 2025, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Campground Cemetery.
