Passed away on December 30, 2024 at age 90. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joel Edward Ridgell, Jr.; parents, George & Minnie (Craps) Boatwright; siblings, Brady (Beatrice) Boatwright, Evelyn (Lester) Mills, Arthur (Murice) Boatwright, Clarence (Bernice) Boatwright, Lula Mae (James) McKay, John (Louise) Boatwright.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Ruby Lynn Stevens and husband, Scott of Dundee, NY; grandchildren, Amy Stevens of Chicago, IL & Mirah Gillian of Victor, NY; step-grandsons, James Stevens of Muskogee, OK, David (Blair) Stevens of Muskogee, OK; great-grandchildren, Margot, Dean and Felix Stevens ; also a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
She was born in Aiken County, SC, the daughter of George Boatwright and Minnie Craps Boatwright. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Batesburg.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on January 18th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel, 115 N Pine St, Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006 with burial in Batesburg Cemetery, with Rev. Judson Hook officiating.
Family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM on January 18th at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
Miller Funeral and Cremation Services of Rochester is assisting the family with local arrangements.
