Helene A. Narucki, 81, of Lakewood died Friday, September 26th, 2025. Helene was born in Jersey City on February 27th, 1944, before moving to Lakewood in 1957. Helene was a passionate animal lover, with her greatest love being Great Danes. She owned many Great Danes in her life, most recently including her beloved Jewel and Dreamer, in addition to her mixed breed Shadow. Helene once dreamed of being a veterinarian but instead fulfilled her passions with animals through caring for her dogs, chickens, as well as the geese near her house and the stray cat "Blue Eyes" she loved to talk about.
Helene was also in love with the arts and her education, earning a bachelor's degree from Glassboro State College and a Master of Arts from Georgian Court University in 1981. As a very creative, unique, and "iconic" woman, she enjoyed art in many forms. Helene combined these loves when becoming an art teacher in Toms River Regional schools, where she made a memorable impression on many.
Helene is predeceased by her parents, John & Sophia Narucki, as well as her brothers John R. Narucki and Ronald J. Narucki Sr. In addition to her loving dogs, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Laurine Narucki, nephew, Ronald J. Narucki Jr. and his wife Prima; great nephew Ronald J. Narucki III and his wife Sarah; nephew John L. Narucki; niece Lori J. Golden and her husband James; great nieces Kellie Golden, Kaitlin Golden, and Alyssa Golden; and Cousin William Gajdzisz and his wife Marion
