Helene A. Speziale (Grove)

Helene A. Grove Speziale, 77 of Ocala, FL, formerly of Kingston Pa, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024.

She was a member of the graduating class of Central Catholic High School in 1964. She went on to complete her Bachelors and Master degrees in Nursing from College Misericordia. She worked for over 20 years for the Pennsylvania Department of Health advancing to supervisory positions. After moving to Florida in 1990, she continued her service in community health and management for the Florida Department of Health in multiple capacities including Childrens Medical Services and the Brain & Spinal Cord Injury Program. She also worked part-time in-home health. She retired in 2011 to Ocala.

Helene enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, swimming, and walking on the beach. For the past few years, she has crocheted prayer shawls for Queen of Peace Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold & Ellen Grove and her brother, Thomas Grove.

Helene is survived by her daughter, Alicia Mantz (Jeffrey), Ocala, FL; grandchildren Kaley, Lauren & Kyle; brothers Lawrence Grove (Cindy), Anchorage, AK., and Mark Grove, Mountain Top, Pa., and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on April 12, 2024 at 11:30 in the morning at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. No flowers please.

Helene requested memorial donations in lieu of flowers be made to Boston Children's Hospital in her honor at bostonchildrens.org/giveinmemory. (Designate gift as "Other" then type "OMS Research"). She liked to support her granddaughter's rare disease.
