Henoc Felix Obituary
Hénoc Maurice Félix, 88, of Dondon, Haiti,
passed away peacefully on March 8, 2025, in Palm Bay, Florida.
Visitations will be 5pm to 9pm Friday, March 21, 2025 at Baird-Case
Jordan Fannin Funeral Home. Final visitation will be held prior to funeral
services at 9:30 am, Saturday, March 21, 2025. Funeral services will proceed
at 10am, at First Haitian Baptist Church of Pompano, with the Rev. Dr.
Willem Phillippi officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial
Gardens Central. Arrangements are by Baird-Case Fannin Funeral Home.
A Life of Excellence and Achievement
Hénoc Maurice Félix was born in Dondon, Haiti, on November 18, 1936,
to Sadrac Félix and Eutepsie Félix (née Brown). He was the eldest of seven
sons. He attended Professor Marius Lévy College, where he excelled in his
primary education, and later pursued his secondary education at Philippe
Guerrier High School. He was a top-performing student and continued to
demonstrate his intellect and perseverance throughout his academic journey.
Seeking higher education, he moved to Port-au-Prince, where he studied at
the Faculty of Law and Economics at the State University of Haiti. In 1969,
he earned his law degree with honors. Later, he pursued further studies
in the United States, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from
Northeastern University in Boston in 1982. Among his many achievements,
Hénoc was awarded an honorary doctorate in Linguistics from the
Union of Private Universities of Haiti in 2018, recognizing his invaluable
contributions to education and the Haitian community.
A Dedicated Professional and Educator
Hénoc's professional career began in Port-au-Prince, where he worked
as a teacher in Carrefour. He was deeply passionate about education and
believed in nurturing young minds. His humility and wisdom were evident
in his approach-"Great with the great, smaller with the small, all while
remaining true to himself." In pursuit of greater opportunities, Hénoc
relocated to Boston, Massachusetts, where he continued his journey in
academia and professional growth. Later, he moved to Florida in
1987, where he continued to work in the medical field as an X-Ray
Technician until his retirement.
Despite his professional commitments, he never wavered in his
dedication to community service and church leadership.
A Life Rooted in Faith and Service
Hénoc was a man of deep faith and served as a deacon and preacher
from the 1980s until he was physically unable to continue. He played
an instrumental role in the Department of Christian Education,
where he created and provided literature for Sunday School lessons,
trained teachers, and prepared future leaders. He strongly believed
that education and faith go hand in hand, and he worked tirelessly to
ensure that knowledge was accessible to all.
Hénoc was a progressive leader who sought to uplift his community.
Whether through his ministry, teaching, or mentorship, he left a
lasting impact on those around him.
A Loving Family Man
During the summer of 1969, Hénoc met Ghislaine Bélizaire, who
was visiting Dondon for summer vacation with her friend. Their
connection blossomed into a lifelong partnership, and they were
married on January 23, 1971, in Boston, Massachusetts.
From this union, two beloved children were born: Laurie Felix
and Jovany Felix Hénoc was also the father of Roseline, whom he
cherished and admired for her determination and success.
A devoted husband and father, Hénoc's greatest joy was his family. He
was honored and fulfilled knowing that his children were
A Legacy of Victory
Hénoc's departure is not a loss but a triumph. He lived a life of service,
wisdom, and unwavering faith. His family, friends, and community
will forever cherish his humility, generosity, and leadership.
For Hénoc his passing is a VICTORY.
For his wife and children, it is a BLESSING.
For his friends and loved ones, it is a CONSOLATION.

Henoc Maurice Felix is preceded by his parents Sadrac Felix and

Henoc Maurice Felix is survived by his wife Ghislaine Felix; his
children Roseline Felix, Laurie Felix-Nicolas (and Spouse, Rolland
Nicolas), and Jovany M. Felix; his grandchildren Sebastien A. Nicolas,
Reginald L. Nicolas, Arianna J. Nicolas, Stephen B.Nicolas, and
Carmen M. Felix; his brother Amos Felix; his brothers/ sisters-in- law
Lise-Marie Felix, Elsie Geffrard Felix, Marie- Carme Felix, Madelaine
Belizaire, Jean Claude & Marlene Belizaire; Yvon Belizaire, Eric &
Lutcha Belizaire, Freda & Guy Laurent, Chiler Diny, Sr., Josseline
