Henrietta Davis

Henrietta Davis was born on July 28, 1924, in Delark Arkansas to Al and Effie Jones. Henrietta grew up and was raised in Arkansas with loving parents and good friends. Henrietta graduated from Dunbar high school in around 1944. In the process of time, she moved to Little Rock Arkansas with her sister Snowrene. Although she was called back to Delark Arkansas to take care of her mother. After her mother's death she moved back to Little Rock Arkansas. In Little Rock is where she met her future husband John Davis senior. Because her husband was in the military they traveled to the states. While they traveled to the states four children were born to this union, John Davis Jr. Gwendolyn Davis, Joyce Ann Davis(deceased) and Brendolyn Davis.
Henrietta and her family's last stop was Camp Pendleton CA where they settled and raised their three children. Henrietta served in the churches she attended and made many friends adopting many sons and daughters. Her household was always filled with laughter and love. In 2022 Henrietta began a journey of sickness that she fought hard. On April 13th, 2025, Henrietta went home to heaven. She leaves behind three daughters, Gwendolyn Davis, Brendolyn Vinson (John Vinson), Gertha Davis (wife of John Davis deceased). Grandsons Omari Pierce, Brandon Davis, Stephen Davis (Oshumari), Jonathon Davis, Tyundrape Donnell, granddaughter Stephanie Davis and great grandchild Jeremiah Davis and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. We truly love her and will miss her but will see her again.
The celebration of life will be May 3rd, 2025, viewing from 12-1PM and order of service from 1-2:30 at St John Missionary Baptist church 1524 Lemon Street, Oceanside, CA 92058. Burial on May 5th, 2025, Riverside National Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to Oceanside Mortuary,
